This 3 Inch IC Rated Shallow Cans are a great way to provide fast, effective lighting in your home. Galvanized steel construction provides excellent corrosion resistance and durability. These cans accept IC Rated lamps. IC ratings allow the cans to be used in an insulated ceiling. The use of IC Rated cans can reduce the amount of heat lost into an insulated ceiling by up to 80%! The non-IC rated cans generally have a reflective coating on the inside which helps transfer thermal energy from the lamp back into the room while an IC Rated can direct as much as possible of the heat directly out of the attic or ceiling space.

• DURABLE CONSTRUCTION - made with galvanized steel construction that can withstand high and low temperatures. Provides excellent resistance to corrosion for a guaranteed long product life.
• JUNCTION BOX - Listed for through branch circuit wiring, Contains one 1-1/8”, six 7/8” knockouts and four Romex pryouts with strain relief. The housing can be removed from plaster frame to provide access to the junction box.
• BAR HANGERS - the bar hangers are adjustable from 13-5/8” to 25” and can be repositioned 90 degree on plaster frame giving you a wide range of choices on how you want to position your light.
• CERTIFICATION - UL LISTED and has CALIFORNIA T24 CERTIFICATION. UL Listing means that UL has tested representative samples of a product and determined that it meets UL's requirements. These requirements are often based on UL's published and nationally recognized Standards for Safety.
